Breakfast

I got the recipe for this nutritious smoothie from my sister, she is the yoga instructor of  Super Yoga Palace in Dallas, TX.

Super Yoga Palace Smoothie

1 Banana

A handful of spinach

Frozen pineapple chucks

Frozen strawberries

A splash of orange juice

Blend and enjoy.

Mmmm, breakfast! (Don't the green color scare you, these are so yummy and you can't even taste the spinach!)

Not a need, but a want

Last week while perusing design*sponge, which I like to peruse through quite often, I came across some shoes I would really like to own. They were featured in their living in: fried green tomatoes  post. I decided that I would like to live in Fried Green Tomatoes. Here they are from deliA's

I can imagine myself wearing them along with a 1940s farm dress with my hair up in victory rolls, jitterbugging the night away. These shoes are kind of like a time machine...

Dinner

I had a yummy dinner and I thought I would share it with everyone, by that I mean dearest D. and Kira :)

Vegetable roll with fried tofu dipped in rooster sauce.

Scrumdumptious.

Rooster sauce is magical. It isn't really called rooster sauce, but it is what I always have called it. You can buy it in the Asian section at the grocery store. It is good over noodles and used as a sauce for tofu. dearest D. was dipping his pretzels in it, which I think is a little sick-o. Eww, yuck!

Bunting DIY

After the sneak peek wedding post the other day, I was determined to make my own cake bunting. I have a a little stash of vintage fabrics that I've picked up from garage sales and this was the perfect project for it, it took so little material and the result is quite satisfying.

1. Pick out your color palette. 

2. Cut into little squares.

3. Cut into flags.

4. String onto thread.

5. Tie onto bamboo skewers and enjoy your handiwork!

The Fox is Fantastic

This summer I've been having a jolly old time reserving items at the library. I had Fantastic Mr. Fox on hold for a very long time and after waiting a month and a half, it came to me. I decided I would like very much to live inside of this movie. The only unfortunate thing about this film is that I now have the song "Boggis, Bunce and Bean" stuck in my head. Uggh.

Someday I will be a millionaire and have an ice cream shop. And I will make crafts in my ice cream shop and wear cute clothes made on my Singer. Someday...

A Peek Into the Wedding

For Me

*Wishlist* Starlette Crown by Giant Dwarf. I think this would be so cute in lieu of a veil. 

 These cuties are made by Frye and I bought them for a steal at Tj Maxx.

A Martha Stewart paper bouquet, I have the kit I just need to make them.

For the Girls

Kimchi Blue Chiffon Dress from Urban Outfitters. I always wanted to buy my bridesmaids their dresses, too often bridesmaids get roped into buying dresses that they will never wear again. I found these dresses at the UO in Washington D.C. on sale, and they are completely re-wearable. (Not the kind of re-wearable where all you have to do is "shorten the dress to tea length and wear it again" nobody shortens bridesmaid dresses, they usually get a one way ticket to the Salvation Army.)

Black opaque tights. These were added later since I am getting married in October, a bit too chilly for a short dress and naked legs.

I would like it if the girls wore yellow shoes. I have discovered that cute yellow shoes are hard to find but I did find these Mossimo flats on Target's website.

I am most excited about their bouquets! I found a how-to on Martha Stewart Weddings and once I saw this charming idea, real flowers were out of the picture! The butterflies were purchased from floraltrims.com

For the Cake (Yep, the cake's getting in on it too)
